HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a talented individual to fill the role of APS6 Level Governance, Outreach and FOI Delegate (Labour Hire) on behalf of our esteemed client located in Deakin / Canberra.
About the Role:
As the APS6 Level Governance, Outreach and FOI Delegate (Labour Hire), you will play a pivotal role in managing the relationship between our client, a prominent government agency, and the Minister's Office.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading FOI internal reviews and Information Commissioner reviews.
- Developing governance documents to ensure compliance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act).
- Providing outreach to enhance understanding of FOI and Participant Information Access (PIA) within the Agency.
- Acting as a delegated FOI and PIA decision maker, ensuring robust decision-making processes.
- Managing stakeholder relationships within the Agency, Government agencies, the Minister's Office, and the Office of the Information Commissioner.

About You:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritise and manage workflows effectively.
Experience in FOI internal reviews and IC reviews.
Proficiency in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and governance documents.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide training and outreach.
Knowledge of government processes and regulations, particularly related to FOI and PIA.
Please note you do need to be an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN for this Federal Government role.
