About the Role: Join our team as an EL1 Assistant Director Finance Business Partner. This leadership role involves delivering complex financial and governance outcomes, managing stakeholder relationships, and leading financial policy and procedure development. You will play a crucial role in supporting our objectives to build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-of-month outputs for assigned groups, ensuring quality and timeliness.
- Manage internal and external stakeholders, creating trusted partnerships.
- Lead the implementation of financial decisions and budget processes.
- Develop and update financial policies and procedures.
- Initiate and implement innovations to improve business practices.
- Lead assigned projects and collaborate with wider teams to achieve outcomes.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to your direct team.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
- Accounting knowledge and professional qualifications (CA or CPA).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proficiency in SAP and SAP BT.
- Executive-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues/risks.
- Team management and leadership skills.
- Strategic thinking and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to plan and prioritize team deliverables.
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering complex financial and governance outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and client-centered orientation.
- Knowledge of relevant employment legislation and industrial documents.
- Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders in a business partner model.
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA).
