Governance Project Officer

We are seeking an experienced Governance Officer (ASO6 level) to join a South Australian Government agency on a 3-6 month contract, assisting with a range of governance activities. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently and apply their strong knowledge of government governance requirements to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and update governance policies and frameworks (e.g. gifts and benefits, fraud and corruption control)
Contribute to documentation and review of grant management frameworks
Support implementation of actions from the Business Continuity Plan
Provide governance advice and ensure compliance with government requirements
About You:
Proven experience in governance, compliance, or regulatory roles within government
Skilled in developing, implementing and evaluating governance and compliance programs
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with excellent attention to detail
Capable of working independently under broad direction, as well as collaborating within a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to deliver clear advice and reports
