SAW7 Level Business Improvement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Business Improvement Specialist to join a State Government department on a 3-month temporary contract. This role will support a Domestic Violence project, requiring strong business improvement expertise alongside the ability to engage stakeholders and initiate meaningful discussions.

- Start Date: 25 September 2025 (or within 1 week)
- Rate: $630 per day (inclusive of casual loading, equivalent to approx. $130k per annum)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead problem-solving sessions to support process improvement initiatives.
- Apply structured problem-solving techniques to define issues, scope initiatives, agree on success criteria, and manage implementation plans.
- Facilitate independent improvement workshops.
- Deliver regular status updates and initiative completion reports to stakeholders.
- Share knowledge and coach others in business improvement practices.
- Build a safe, collaborative team environment that values open feedback.
- Conduct end-to-end process discovery and analysis with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Document current state processes and identify opportunities for improved future state design.
- Maintain project status reports and highlight issues or risks that may affect delivery.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in business process mapping using BPMN.
- Strong background in conducting workshops, training, and current state mapping.
- Ability to translate existing processes into updated BPMN flows.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and presentation skills.
