ASO5 Level Procurement Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Advisor to join a large government organisation's Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) team on a 12-month assignment. This is a full-time opportunity based in the Adelaide CBD, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week.

About the Role
As a Procurement Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering value-for-money procurement outcomes by managing acquisition planning, market approaches, negotiations, and purchase recommendations. You will provide expert advice to stakeholders while ensuring compliance with government procurement frameworks and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support on procurement procedures and policies.
- Prepare and review procurement documentation, including acquisition plans, market approaches, evaluation plans, negotiation plans, and purchase recommendations.
- Lead low-to-medium risk procurement processes to achieve effective outcomes.
- Undertake procurement projects across whole-of-government and agency-specific contracts.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to support business needs.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a procurement sourcing role (essential).
- Strong knowledge of government procurement principles, policies, and practices.
- Experience contributing to evaluation panels and procurement decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, analyse value-for-money, and deliver procurement solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- State or Federal Government experience.
