EL1 Level Finance Business Partner

HOBAN Recruitment is proud to be recruiting for a dynamic and experienced finance professional at EL1 level to join a government organisation located in DEAKIN ACT. This pivotal role will see you lead strategic financial initiatives, manage high-level stakeholder relationships, and guide a team to deliver critical financial outcomes with precision and professionalism.

Your primary focus will be delivering end-of-month outputs, managing strategic partnerships, and driving improvements in financial governance. You'll also lead key projects and provide expert support across budgeting, policy development and risk mitigation.

About You

We are seeking a strategic and collaborative finance leader with:

• A professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA) and relevant degree
• Extensive experience delivering complex financial and governance outcomes
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and support a team
• Proven experience with SAP and SAP BT
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Strong stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication skills
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to manage risks and resolve issues
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to work under pressure
• Confidence in navigating change and ambiguity
• A strategic thinker with solid planning and prioritisation skills
