HOBAN Recruitment is seeking a Catchment Education Project Officer/ coordinator to support the delivery of the ACT Healthy Waterways Community Education and Behaviour-Change Program (2025-2026). This exciting initiative aims to reduce phosphorus entering urban waterways by encouraging households to adopt waterway-friendly practices.
In this role, you will:
- Assist in planning and delivering community engagement projects, including leaf and fertiliser programs.
- Coordinate activities such as leaf-bag giveaways, educational installations, community events, and online resources.
- Develop and test innovative program elements and contribute to robust evaluation frameworks.
- Prepare reports, briefings, and communication materials for diverse stakeholders.
- Support project planning, procurement, and data management processes for large-scale outreach.

About You
We are looking for someone who can bring energy, creativity, and strong organisational skills to the team. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience in project management, community education, or behaviour-change programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Excellent written communication skills for reports, presentations, and educational content.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
- Knowledge of government procurement, contract management, or public administration (desirable).
- Qualifications in behavioural insights, event management, or evaluation (highly regarded but not essential).
Additional Information: Some weekend and after-hours work may be required.
