We are seeking an experienced and motivated APS 5 level Data Officer to support the NSW/ACT Regional Service Operations team located in Newcastle NSW.

About the Role
In this dynamic APS5 level role, you will support regional performance and service delivery through high-quality data insights and reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Extracting, cleaning, and analysing operational data to support performance insights.
- Creating and maintaining dashboards and reports using Excel, Salesforce, and SAS.
- Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities through systematic research and analysis.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop tailored reporting solutions.
- Supporting the implementation of data quality assurance and improvement processes.
- Contributing to data-related projects and documentation.
- Providing technical advice to stakeholders on data and reporting matters.
- Enhancing analytics capabilities across the team through innovation and continuous improvement.

About You
You will thrive in this role if you:
- Have experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence
- Are proficient in tools such as Excel, Salesforce, and SAS (or similar)
- Possess strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Are a proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset
- Have the ability to work independently under limited direction
