Field Technician

$41.61/hr incl. casual loading | Casual Full-time | ASAP start for 2 months

We are currently seeking an experienced Field Technician for an exciting opportunity in Port Pirie. This role offers competitive pay, a dynamic work environment, and the chance to work on civil construction projects, specifically water-main repairs. About the role:

As a Field Technician, you will play a key role in supporting field operations and ensuring the efficient repair and maintenance of water-main systems in a variety of environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery such as backhoes and front loaders to complete tasks efficiently.

• Perform water-main repairs and other civil construction activities.

• Maintain and repair essential components of machinery and equipment.

• Work in various outdoor environments and follow all safety procedures.

• Manage daily tasks and report on progress to supervisors.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including the possession of a valid White Card.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current MR or HC (Heavy Combination) licence.

• Proven experience in civil construction, particularly water-main repair.

• Competency in operating machinery such as backhoes and front loaders.

• A valid White Card (Construction Induction Card).

• Strong skills in repairing and maintaining essential components and equipment.

• Willingness and clearance to work in diverse environments.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to complete tasks on time.

• A Police Check issued within 6 months, and a traffic check
