HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS 6 level Service Designer on behalf of our client, a major government-related organisation based in SURRY HILLS NSW. About the Role
- Join a multi-disciplinary agile team delivering large-scale projects.
- Apply Human-Centred Design approaches to complex challenges.
- Create key service design artefacts such as journey maps, blueprints, personas and more.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform design.
- Engage with diverse stakeholders to ensure inclusive, effective solutions.
- Assist with project coordination including JIRA, SharePoint, and administrative support (e.g. minutes, meetings, editing papers).
- Navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast-paced environment.

About You
- Proven experience in agile, multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Proficient with MS Office and digital design tools (Figma, Miro, Mural, Creately).
- Strong service design capabilities - from persona creation to journey mapping.
- Creative thinker with excellent synthesis and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Ability to assess impacts to customers and stakeholders.
- Experience in administrative support including JIRA and meeting coordination.
- Background in disability, social services or public sector (desirable).
