HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS5 level Operations Officer on behalf of our client, located in SURRY HILLS NSW.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Operations Officer to join a dynamic team delivering critical support, strategic advice, and continuous improvement initiatives to help front-line staff achieve meaningful outcomes for participants.
About the Role:
As an APS5 level Operations Officer, you will undertake moderately complex to complex tasks under limited supervision. This is a hands-on position involving stakeholder engagement, operational planning, and support for Home and Living initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing secretariat support for Home and Living decisions.
- Managing enquiries, resolving issues and complaints.
- Supporting process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collating, analysing and interpreting data for reporting and dashboard creation.
- Coaching and mentoring staff across administrative and technical procedures.
- Allocating tasks and setting team priorities to meet performance targets.
- Drafting high-quality documentation and ensuring data accuracy in systems.
- Coordinating and communicating on moderately complex operational issues.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong administration and data management experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confidence in coaching and mentoring others within a team.
- Ability to set priorities, manage workflow and meet deadlines.
- Sound judgement and ability to resolve issues independently where required.
- Experience or knowledge in the disability or health sector (desirable).
- Understanding of relevant policies, regulations and operational frameworks.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced and evolving environment.
