HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of EL1 Scrum Master (Labour Hire) on behalf of our client, located in SURRY HILLS NSW.
About the Role:
As an EL1 level Scrum Master, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Service Design and Improvement Branch to enhance participant experience through the design and delivery of more effective internal service processes and systems.
You will coordinate complex projects within a blended Agile and Waterfall environment, guide cross-functional teams, and work with senior stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality project outcomes. Your efforts will directly contribute to delivering the strategic vision of our client's Pathway.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading project scoping, planning, and delivery across service design squads
- Coaching Agile teams and fostering project maturity
- Facilitating sprints, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Supporting Domain Owners in capacity planning and backlog management
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks, and maintaining RAID logs
- Ensuring adherence to governance and escalation protocols

About You:
You are an experienced Scrum Master or Project Coordinator who thrives in hybrid delivery environments and knows how to bring teams together to deliver impactful solutions.
You have:
- Proven experience in Agile and Waterfall delivery
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills
- Strong organisational and project management abilities
- Experience coaching teams to improve Agile maturity
- Familiarity with government or large-scale reform projects (desirable)
- Flexibility and adaptability to support broader squad functions
