HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of Laboratory Technical Officer on behalf of our client, located in North Ryde Sydney, NSW.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to contribute to a team known for scientific excellence and a collaborative, values-driven workplace. This role is ideal for someone with a science background, a high level of organisation, and a passion for supporting laboratory operations.
About the Role:
- Provide routine scientific and administrative support in a laboratory environment
- Ensure efficient handling, logging, and tracking of samples and data using Sample Manager for Windows
- Support team priorities while maintaining excellent standards in safety and quality assurance
- Work under general supervision with a focus on task completion, self-organisation, and service delivery
- Contribute to workplace culture, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:
- Hold a Diploma or higher qualification in a science-related field
- 2-3 years' experience in a scientific or technical laboratory environment
- Proficient in Sample Manager for Windows (highly desirable) and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on client service
- Committed to team-based working, respect, diversity, and continuous workplace improvement
- Strong attention to detail and proactive in mitigating risks in work outputs
- Able to pass a National Police Check and obtain a Baseline Clearance (at Client cost).
