APS 4 Budget Management Support Officer

HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS4 Budget Management Support Officer on behalf of our client, located in either Wollongong, Parramatta or Penrith NSW.

About the Role:
As a Budget Management Support Officer, you will support frontline initiatives designed to deliver better outcomes for participants of the Scheme. Your work will involve reviewing participant records, engaging with clients and their representatives, and applying guidance and policy to support budget management decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing participant records and making funding recommendations
- Calling participants and their representatives to discuss budgets and circumstances
- Maintaining high-quality records using internal IT systems
- Conducting research and managing moderately complex cases with support
- Handling administrative and data entry tasks
- Supporting the achievement of planning targets and KPIs

To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage difficult conversations empathetically
- Confidence in handling multiple participant records and prioritising tasks
- Strong IT and data entry skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Commitment to working from the office during the training period
Desirable:
- Experience in the disability, health, or human services sectors
- Background in customer service or call centre environments
