HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of APS5 or APS 6 level Project Officers on behalf of our client, located in either Surry Hills Sydney, Newcastle or Wollongong NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing federal government team that delivers impactful communication and governance outcomes.
About the role
As a Project Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of projects and initiatives that have a real impact on communities across Australia. You will work in a fast-paced environment, coordinating activities, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring projects run smoothly and on time.
Key responsibilities
- Provide project support, including planning, reporting, and coordination of tasks
- Monitor project progress and prepare accurate documentation
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to share information and support outcomes
- Contribute to policy, process, or program development as required
- Assist with research, analysis, and preparation of briefing materials
- Support team operations with administration and record-keeping
About you
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
* Previous experience in project, program, or policy support
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable experience
* Previous work in a tribunal, legal, or disability sector environment
* Knowledge of government processes and procedures
Eligibility requirements
* You must be an Australian Citizen
* Pre-employment checks will be required, including a National Criminal History Check
