HOBAN Recruitment is seeking motivated and culturally aware professionals to join a growing team in Surry Hills. Two opportunities are available:
- APS5 Training Coordinator - Support the coordination, organisation, and delivery of culturally safe training programs that promote workforce capability.
- APS6 Training Facilitation Officer - Lead the facilitation of engaging and inclusive learning experiences across face-to-face, virtual, and blended formats.
Both roles are pivotal in ensuring training initiatives reflect cultural knowledge, lived experience, and adult learning principles while supporting positive outcomes for First Nations people with disability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling, and training resources (APS5).
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and events in culturally safe environments (APS6).
- Assist with development, refinement, and delivery of learning materials.
- Collaborate with First Nations stakeholders to ensure training reflects cultural perspectives.
- Gather and analyse feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Promote staff wellbeing and trauma-aware learning practices.
- Represent the training team in relevant forums and governance bodies.

About You
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and coordination skills (APS5).
- Proven facilitation experience with diverse audiences (APS6).
- Commitment to cultural safety and understanding of First Nations perspectives.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and inclusive training practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant qualifications in education, training, HR, or related fields (Certificate IV TAE40122 highly desirable for APS6).
- Experience working in or with First Nations communities is highly regarded.
