Storeperson

HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of Warehouse Storeperson on behalf of our client, located in Greenway Canberra, ACT.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a high-performing Warehouse & Logistics team. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of materials aligns with the Program of Work (PoW) schedule. About the Role:

• Investigate, measure, and resolve warehouse and inventory discrepancies
• Accurately process receipts, issues, and adjustments using a material management system
• Support the warehouse in daily operations including picking, packing, unloading/loading, and dispatch
• Conduct regular stock counts and report on discrepancies
• Maintain site and inventory security, ensuring safety procedures are upheld
• Provide after-hours operational support through an on-call roster
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse processes
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

About You:

• Essential:
  • Experience in receipting, warehousing, issuing, and distribution
  • Strong understanding of modern warehouse practices
  • High-risk forklift licence
  • Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and PC operations
• Desirable:
  • Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., Oracle)
  • Rigging/Dogging qualifications
  • Understanding of Chain of Responsibility Laws
