About the role
As the APS6 level Production Coordinator, you'll be central to the operations of a busy, purpose-driven digital media team. Supporting video and social media outputs, you'll coordinate logistics, production planning, and stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality content aligned with national initiatives.
You'll work closely with content creators, business units and internal teams to ensure projects run smoothly-on time and to spec-while helping to streamline and innovate the team's production processes.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics, scheduling and planning for multimedia production
- Manage production requirements including locations, consents, and resources
- Liaise with business areas to interpret briefs and facilitate approvals
- Track progress, assign tasks, and maintain production records
- Support procurement activities and liaise with vendors
- Contribute to reporting and continuous improvement of processes
- Ensure accessibility and compliance requirements are met
- Build and maintain positive internal stakeholder relationships
What we're looking for
- Proven experience coordinating video or animation production in a creative, agency, or internal content setting
- Excellent organisational and scheduling skills
- Comfortable liaising with stakeholders, talent and creative teams
- Understanding of production workflows, briefs, and consent/documentation
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
Desirable
- Familiarity with Australian Government communications or public sector protocols
- Understanding of accessibility in video (e.g. captions, transcripts, audio description)
- Experience using project/content tracking tools and Office 365 (Teams, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of copyright, usage rights, and vendor procurement
- Exposure to Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Premiere Pro) beneficial
Eligibility
- Australian Citizenship is essential
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and other relevant clearances
