HOBAN Recruitment is seeking talented Economists to join a dynamic team working on complex economic and pricing policy located in DEAKIN ACT. In this APS6 level role, you will:
- Deliver economic research and analysis to support evidence-based decision making.
- Apply statistical and economic modelling to large data-sets to understand market dynamics.
- Contribute to policy design addressing market failures and improving care economy outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, academics, and external experts to build shared understanding.
- Influence the allocation of Scheme resources projected to grow significantly in the coming years.

About You

- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex economic issues.
- Can think structurally and develop frameworks for quantitative and qualitative analysis.

- Can communicate complex economic insights in clear, plain English.
- Work effectively both independently and in teams.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Have an interest in the economic challenges of the care economy and human services markets.
- Bring energy, enthusiasm, and motivation to improve systems and participant outcomes.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in economics, econometrics, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with a major statistical software package (R, Python, Stata, SAS).

- You must be an Australian Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Criminal History Check and a Worker Screening Check is required
