APS 6 Economist

HOBAN Recruitment is seeking talented Economists to join a dynamic team working on complex economic and pricing policy located in DEAKIN ACT. In this APS6 level role, you will:

• Deliver economic research and analysis to support evidence-based decision making.
• Apply statistical and economic modelling to large data-sets to understand market dynamics.
• Contribute to policy design addressing market failures and improving care economy outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams, academics, and external experts to build shared understanding.
• Influence the allocation of Scheme resources projected to grow significantly in the coming years.

About You

• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex economic issues.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, econometrics, or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with a major statistical software package (R, Python, Stata, SAS).

• You must be an Australian Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Criminal History Check and a Worker Screening Check is required
