HOBAN Recruitment is recruiting for the role of Senior Client Engagement Officer on behalf of our client, located in Belconnen. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting tenants, managing properties, and building strong community connections.
About the Role
As a Housing Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective management of public housing tenancies. You will engage directly with tenants in the field, provide tailored support, and help sustain long-term housing solutions. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of tenancies to ensure adherence to tenancy agreements.
- Conducting property inspections and monitoring property standards.
- Providing outreach support through home visits and neighbourhood engagement.
- Supporting tenants with affordability, debt management, and access to services.
- Responding to tenant enquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Preparing accurate reports, documentation, and case notes.
- Building collaborative relationships with community organisations and stakeholders.

About You
We are seeking motivated and community-focused professionals with strong interpersonal and organisational skills. To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience in delivering high-quality customer service in community or tenancy settings.
- Strong organisational and data management skills to track KPIs and tenancy outcomes.
- Ability to apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures in practice.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a team.
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel for tenant visits.
- Registration under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 (or ability to obtain prior to commencement).
Relevant qualifications in Leadership, Management, Social Work, Community Development, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
