EL1 Contract Manager

Hoban Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Contract Manager to join a dynamic program team located in Canberra . You will be responsible for managing large-scale, complex ICT contracts, overseeing vendor performance, supporting procurement activities, and providing strategic advice to ensure program objectives are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish and manage multiple complex contracts and vendor relationships, including with large-scale ICT vendors.
- Support procurement activities and complex negotiations to maximise value for money.
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and contractual obligations, providing assurance on contract deliverables.
- Identify, manage, and escalate contract risks; drive continuous process improvements.
- Develop contract management and procurement documentation aligned with public sector frameworks.
- Ensure compliance and oversee contract governance activities.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Provide strategic advice and reporting on procurement and contract management activities to executives.

About You
- Proven experience managing ICT contracts, preferably with software vendors or system integrators.
- Strong knowledge of public sector procurement and contract management frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Resilient, adaptable, and collaborative in approach.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in procurement or contract management is desirable.
Mandatory Requirements
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check Certificate.
- AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance.
- Compliance with WHS policies and personalised WHS equipment.
- Political neutrality and Australian citizenship.
