About the Roles
EL1 - Training Package Design Lead
In this leadership role, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and evaluation of training packages.
- Apply adult learning principles to ensure engaging and effective training.
- Co-design learning solutions in partnership with First Nations stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee external training providers.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership and represent the organisation in forums.
- Embed cultural safety into workforce development strategies.
- Monitor training outcomes and refine programs for continuous improvement.
APS6 - Senior Training Design Officer
In this supporting role, you will:
- Assist in designing training packages, including content, delivery methods, and evaluation tools.
- Develop learning resources such as facilitator guides, participant materials, and eLearning content.
- Collaborate with HR, L&D, and operational teams to align training with workforce needs.
- Support pilot programs, gather feedback, and contribute to improvements.
- Promote cultural safety and inclusive practices in learning and development.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure quality and cultural appropriateness of training.
- Contribute to reporting and project tracking against governance and timelines.

About You
To be successful in either role, you will bring:
- Experience in instructional design, adult learning, and training development.
- Strong understanding of cultural safety and First Nations perspectives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on complex projects.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commitment to inclusive practices, trauma-informed approaches, and continuous improvement.
- Relevant qualifications in education, training, HR, or a related field (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly desirable).
- Experience working with or alongside First Nations communities is highly regarded.
