About the Role
As Community Development Program Operations Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in overseeing the operational delivery of the Community Development Program (CDP) in two remote First Nations communities in East Arnhem Land. Reporting to the Remote Employment Manager, you will support the on-ground teams and ensure the program meets compliance, funding, and community objectives.
You will manage two direct reports (Site Managers) who are each responsible for leading their respective community delivery teams. These Site Managers oversee daily program delivery, supervise local staff, and engage with participants and stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and mentoring Site Managers across two community locations
- Ensuring consistent and compliant CDP program delivery across both sites
- Working closely with operations support for resource allocation, travel, purchasing, and reporting
- Building strong partnerships with community leaders and stakeholders
- Managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective operations
- Championing projects that reflect individual participant goals and broader community priorities
- Participating actively in the broader Community Services leadership team
- Upholding workplace health and safety standards and organisational values
- The role requires regular fortnightly travel to community, with occasional overnight stays depending on operational needs.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven leadership experience managing teams in community services or employment programs
- Experience working in or with remote Indigenous communities
- Understanding of grant-funded program delivery and compliance requirements
- A flexible and agile approach to program and team management
- Strong budgeting and resource planning skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, adaptable to cross-cultural contexts
- Previous experience working in the Northern Territory
- Qualifications in community services, social work, or human services
- Experience working with First Nations people in remote settings
- Familiarity with the Community Development Program (CDP) or similar initiatives.
- Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident.
