We are currently looking for a Finance Manager position at a globally expanding listed company. The company has been actively acquiring local businesses across Australia and has grown to a group structure with 4 to 10 subsidiaries. Their vision is to double the current scale and enterprise value by 2030 This role is ideal for someone who can grow with the business and work collaboratively with functional teams across group companies during this important phase of expansion. As a result of multiple acquisitions, the group's tax and accounting processes have become increasingly diverse and complex. The company is seeking a candidate who can oversee, streamline, and manage these processes in a centralized manner. While deep tax expertise is not required, a basic understanding of international tax concepts is highly valued. The company works closely with an external accounting firms for tax advisory, so this role will mainly serve as a liaison between subsidiaries and external advisors. The scope of this role will be tailored based on the successful candidate's background and strengths, so you are encouraged to apply even if you do not meet all the criteria listed.
[Key responsibilities]
- Supervising operation tasks related to loan funding settlements for group companies
- Supervising Cashflow and funds management with Bank, including foreign currency management
- Manage and oversee cash pooling operations, including coordination with HQ and participating group entities, and ensure efficient intercompany and bank funding activities.
- Assisting group companies shared service activities such as banking, accounting and tax
- Manage and support international tax compliance, including transfer pricing, by coordinating both Australia and group entities, including coordination with HQ
- Manage and support various domestic tax compliance including PAYG, BAS, Corporate tax, and FBT
- Liaising with external auditors and tax agents
- Assisting monthly/quarterly/annual management reports preparation including income tax and deferred tax calculation
- Preparing statutory financial statements
- Being involved with various finance and process improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with J-SOX and other corporate governance requirements for listed entities
- Managing overdue account receivable list including credit insurance
- Preparation and review of general journal entries and accruals
- Assisting internal audit procedures
- Assisting with the preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts
- Overseeing and implementing compliance protocols
- As the representative office in Australia, provide appropriate explanations and necessary support to group companies
[Skill and experience]
- CPA/CA studying or qualified is advantageous
- 3 years' experience in a similar role is adantageous
- Financial reporting and taxation knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills, Word and Outlook
- Experience in SAP is desirable but not essential
- Self-motivated and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Proficient in English (both written and oral)
- Ability to solve problems and continuously improve processes
- Demonstrated good work ethic
- Japanese language skill
