Lead warehouse operations in Laverton North. Permanent role with flexible hours in a growing ag machinery business. Hands-on and autonomous.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role where you'll manage warehouse operations, coordinate logistics, support equipment assembly, and be the face of the brand locally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Parts Management:
Maintain accurate inventory and ensure timely, correct despatch of machinery parts to dealers. - Despatch & Logistics:
Coordinate outbound shipments and load machinery for delivery.
Unload monthly containers using a counterbalance forklift (current capacity 4T, with potential upgrade). - Assembly Support:
Assist with basic assembly of agricultural equipment (e.g., seeders and direct drills) using hand tools and torque wrenches. - ERP & Communication:
Process dealer orders via email and ERP system.
Maintain professional communication with dealers and customers. - Site Coordination:
Represent the brand at the Laverton North site.
Manage deliveries and liaise with neighbouring businesses.
Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and operational.
We are looking for:
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or logistics.
- Strong understanding of parts management and order fulfilment.
- Forklift licence (counterbalance) - experience with heavy machinery preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools.
- Computer literacy - confident with email and ERP systems.
- Excellent phone manner and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the site.
