Production Line Team Leader

We are working with a leading warehousing and logistics provider in Western Sydney, operating a modern, A-Grade facility that offers both temperature-controlled and ambient storage solutions.
This state-of-the-art site features large freezers, chillers, and cool rooms, supporting a full cold-chain service from receipt through to dispatch. Value-added services such as thawing, relabelling, and date coding allow customers to seamlessly transition frozen stock into chilled distribution.
As a Production Line Team Leader, you'll be responsible for coordinating and motivating a team of operators to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. This role suits a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge of production line processes, systems, and terminology, as well as proven people management skills.
Location: Yennora NSW
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production line staff.
- Oversee end-to-end production line activities, ensuring compliance with kitting, BOM, AG, and SCC labelling requirements.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with planning, warehouse, and QA teams to ensure smooth materials flow and stock accuracy.
- Allocate daily tasks, manage rosters, and support effective shift handovers.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Utilise JDE, ERP, and RF systems for production tracking, stock management, and reporting.
Skills & Attributes
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Previous experience working within FMCG production, manufacturing, or logistics.
- Proven supervisory or team leader experience.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with:
- Kitting and BOM processes
- AG and SCC labelling standards
- Quality Assurance systems
- JDE (JD Edwards) and RF Scanning Systems
- Strong understanding of production workflows, KPIs, and efficiency drivers.
- High level of accountability, with a proactive approach to safety and quality.
