Quality Systems Officer
Location: Adelaide
Work Type: Temporary
You'll play a key role in developing and managing systems that ensure compliance with environmental, water quality, WHS, and operational standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Assignment dates & duration: ASAP until 19/12/2025 (This role is to cover a secondment)
- Capacity: Part-time (0.6 FTE) - Flexible with the days as long as they are continuous (Mond-Wed/ Wed- Fri or Tues-Thurs).
- Salary: $51.56 per hour (including casual loading)
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Workplace Safety: Actively contribute to a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with WHS procedures and fostering team collaboration.
- Information Systems Management:
- Maintain and enhance the corporate information management system (RIVER).
- Develop and communicate processes for capturing and using operational knowledge.
- Train staff to maximise accessibility and usability of quality information.
- Quality Systems Administration:
- Ensure systems comply with frameworks and deliver operational efficiencies.
- Identify opportunities to integrate and streamline quality management systems.
- Support framework design and contribute to system reviews.
- Audit Participation and Improvement:
- Manage audit workflows and non-conformance findings collaboratively.
- Implement system improvements to mitigate risks and enhance compliance.
- Document and Compliance Management:
- Coordinate document reviews for risk and compliance management.
- Ensure timely and effective implementation of updates with stakeholder input.
- Training and Induction Support:
- Communicate quality system principles and operational procedures.
- Develop induction and training materials tailored to operational needs.
- Support training delivery and manage THRIVE learning requirements.
About You
You're a motivated professional with experience in quality systems, document management, and stakeholder engagement. You're eager to make a tangible difference by improving compliance and operational practices.
- Essential:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 principles, applied to safety, water quality, and environment.
- Expertise in document control and data management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Power BI).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders, including office- and field-based teams.
- Experience managing audits and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
