A state government department is seeking an experienced Category Officer to lead supplier relationship and contract management within the Business Insights and Excellence division.
In this role, you will:
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and performance
- Ensure compliance with key regulatory frameworks, including the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) legislation
- Lead contract negotiations and alignment with business and regulatory needs
- Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders and compliance teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement and category planning
About You
✔ Strong supplier and contract management experience
✔ Sound knowledge of procurement practices and compliance
✔ Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills
✔ Experience navigating regulatory and commercial frameworks
Desirable: Qualifications in Procurement, Law, or related fields; experience in public sector supply chain operations.
