About the Role
A state government agency is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Procurement Officer to join its Technical Services team within the Georesources division. This role will be instrumental in supporting procurement and contract management activities associated with the operations phase and other critical infrastructure assets such as dams, weirs and abandoned mine structures.
You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver high-risk and complex procurement strategies while ensuring compliance with Queensland Government procurement frameworks. This position provides the opportunity to influence sustainable infrastructure outcomes in the resources sector and shape long-term service delivery plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities from planning through to contract award
- Provide strategic procurement advice and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Support contract administration and compliance, including milestone and expenditure tracking
- Ensure procurement activities align with whole-of-government requirements and business needs
- Maintain accurate data and reporting across procurement registers and systems
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote collaboration and service excellence
- Contribute to the development and delivery of procurement-related training and capability uplift initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of forward procurement pipelines and reporting functions

Mandatory Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement and contract management
- Proficiency in SAP
- Completion of Queensland Government Level 2 or Level 3 Procurement Certification.
- Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Forms, and Power BI
- Relevant civil construction procurement experience
- Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Full working rights in Australia
