About the Role
A state government agency is seeking a motivated and capable AO3 Equivalent Project Support Officer to provide high-level administrative assistance within the New Albion Station Project team. This vital role will support the delivery of a significant transport infrastructure upgrade in Brisbane's inner north. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, initiative, and a commitment to quality outcomes while managing multiple priorities within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative and office support to the project team, including diary management, document tracking, and meeting coordination
- Communicate professionally with stakeholders at all levels across government and industry
- Coordinate governance meetings, prepare agendas, record minutes, and manage follow-up actions
- Maintain and update correspondence, records, filing systems, and procurement documentation
- Support business processes including HR, finance, and procurement activities
- Assist with document control and project archiving requirements
- Provide system support and training for timesheet processes as needed
- Promote a positive team culture and contribute to capability development initiatives
Key Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrated experience supporting infrastructure or engineering-based projects
- Strong understanding of calendar management, meeting support, and administrative best practices
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- High-level written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience in government or large organisations
Mandatory Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in administrative or project support roles
- High level of accuracy and accountability in task execution
- Ability to prioritise, report progress, and proactively identify issues
- Full working rights in Australia required
