Are you an organised and hands-on operations professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for field support? A respected State Government Agency is seeking two AO3 Aerial Support Officers to contribute to aerial fire ant treatment activities across Southeast Queensland.

About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to support one of Queensland's most critical biosecurity operations. The AO3 Aerial Support Officer will play a key role in coordinating and supporting aerial treatment and surveillance operations. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, accurate, and effective delivery of treatment activities across the region. Working closely with operational teams and technical specialists, the successful candidates will provide logistical, administrative, and stakeholder-facing support. You'll also contribute to the upkeep of safety protocols, record management, and continuous improvement of aerial procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake administrative and coordination tasks related to aerial operations and surveillance
- Support the delivery of treatment operations in line with safety, legislative, and procurement requirements
- Engage with landholders and community members to seek access and provide information
- Maintain high standards of customer service and support public understanding of biosecurity efforts
- Assist with logistical activities such as refuelling, equipment support, and aerial safety procedures
- Monitor and validate data to ensure integrity, accuracy, and compliance with internal processes
- Maintain comprehensive records and registers to support regulatory and reporting requirements
- Identify and flag operational issues and contribute to problem-solving processes
- Support the development of aerial operations procedures and contribute to internal improvements
About You - Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and courteous manner
- Experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with rural landholders, is highly regarded
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment
- High attention to detail, accuracy in record keeping, and familiarity with data systems
- Sound judgement, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Physically capable and comfortable working in outdoor and field support settings
Mandatory Requirements
- Current and unrestricted 'C' class driver's licence
- Must have full working rights.
