Our client, a Federal Government Agency, is seeking a dynamic APS6 Digital Marketing Officer to lead and support targeted email and SMS marketing initiatives that enhance public understanding and engagement with key government services and reforms.

About the Role
As the APS6 Digital Marketing Officer, you will play a central role in delivering digital marketing campaigns, newsletters, and direct communications that support improved knowledge, trust, and awareness of programs and services. Working in a collaborative, cross-functional team, you will contribute to campaign strategy, optimise delivery, and ensure outputs meet accessibility and performance standards. You will also support peer capability building, drive continuous improvement across digital products, and deliver measurable outcomes through best-practice marketing approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-profile digital campaigns across SMS and email platforms
- Plan, execute, and optimise four subscriber-based newsletters
- Support targeted communications that promote understanding of government reforms
- Monitor and evaluate campaign performance to inform future strategy
- Champion accessibility in digital products and adherence to best practice
- Collaborate with teams across divisions to align messaging and campaign delivery
- Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement and service expansion
- Contribute to governance processes and quality assurance activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture
About You - Key Skills & Capabilities
- Strong experience delivering high-quality email marketing campaigns
- Proficient in using Salesforce Marketing Cloud or ability to rapidly upskill
- Excellent written communication, project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver within deadlines
- Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
- Committed to accessible, inclusive, and impactful digital communications
Desirable
- Qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline
- Knowledge of digital accessibility standards
- Experience in behaviour change or audience segmentation campaigns
Mandatory Requirements
- You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this position
- Ability to pass standard pre-engagement checks as part of government onboarding
