Our client, a Federal Government Agency, is seeking a dynamic EL1 Digital Marketing Lead to drive strategic email and SMS marketing initiatives that enhance public awareness, behaviour change, and engagement with key national programs.

About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of direct digital communications-primarily through email and SMS-to support major reforms and service improvements. You will manage a suite of subscriber-based newsletters and targeted campaigns, leveraging data and digital tools to ensure content is timely, accessible, and impactful.
Working within a collaborative communications division, you will contribute to national outreach strategies, evaluate digital performance, manage supplier relationships, and build team capability in best-practice digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of strategic, high-profile digital campaigns via email and SMS
- Manage and optimise four subscriber-based newsletters aligned with Agency priorities
- Deliver communications that support Scheme reform, behaviour change, and service understanding
- Oversee audience segmentation, campaign scheduling, and platform management
- Drive continuous improvement and baseline evaluation of digital communications
- Lead supplier procurement and manage digital marketing vendor relationships
- Ensure accessibility, compliance, and brand consistency across digital touchpoints
- Provide coaching and leadership to build internal capability and positive team culture
- Support governance, quality assurance, and reporting across communication projects
About You - Key Skills & Capabilities
- Extensive experience in leading email and SMS campaigns in complex environments
- Proven ability to deliver results using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or similar platforms
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with strong program management and evaluation capabilities
- Comfortable working independently and navigating ambiguity
- Deep understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
Desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Experience with behaviour change or large-scale audience engagement campaigns
- Knowledge of compliance requirements for electronic direct marketing
Mandatory Requirements

- Ability to pass standard pre-employment screening checks
