Are you an experienced and proactive HR professional with strong stakeholder engagement and recruitment skills? A state government agency is seeking an AO5 Human Resources Advisor to provide specialist advice and support in a dynamic and evolving environment.

- Rate: $67p/h + Superannuation
About the Role:
Reporting to the Principal HR Advisor, the Advisor (Human Resources) will deliver high-quality human resource advice and services to support workforce needs across the branch. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to identify resourcing requirements, develop and update role descriptions, and manage recruitment and selection processes in line with Queensland Government policies and frameworks. The successful candidate will apply contemporary HR practices to support business outcomes, prepare high-standard HR documentation, and contribute to building and maturing HR service delivery capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand and respond to workforce and resourcing needs
- Develop new, and update existing, role descriptions in accordance with classification frameworks
- Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes within the public sector
- Apply HR policies, legislation, and frameworks to achieve effective outcomes
- Prepare HR-related correspondence, reports, and briefing materials to a high standard
- Support the Principal HR Advisor in delivering HR initiatives and improving service delivery
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Other duties as directed
Mandatory Requirements:
- Recent Queensland Government experience in a human resources advisory role
- Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Experience in recruitment and selection within the public sector
- Sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices, relevant legislation, industrial agreements, policies, and procedures
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information to the audience
- Full working rights in Australia are required for this role
