Our client, a Federal Government agency, is seeking a Case Management Support Officer to provide operational and administrative assistance within their Legal Operations team.
Role Details:

- Rate: $24 per hour + Superannuation
About the Role:
Reporting to an APS6 Team Leader, the Case Management Support Officer will be responsible for assisting with the intake, processing, and allocation of Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) applications. The role will also support the coordination of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and complaints, requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and assess ART applications and prepare supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate case records in agency business systems
- Prepare case summaries and tribunal documents within statutory timeframes
- Assist with interlocutory applications and provide instructions to lawyers
- Assess risks including privacy and priority matters
- Draft responses to complaints, ministerial, and briefing materials
- Assist in mentoring and training new team members
- Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team environment
- Other duties as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- Australian citizenship is required to be considered
- Relevant legal administration, paralegal, or similar background
- Strong administrative and records management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- Ability to quickly learn and apply relevant legislation and procedures
