Are you an experienced training facilitation professional with a passion for cultural safety and workforce capability development? Our client, a Federal Government agency, is seeking a Training Facilitation Officer to deliver engaging, culturally safe training programs that build workforce capability and improve outcomes for First Nations people with disability.

About the Role:
Reporting to an Assistant Director, the Training Facilitation Officer will play a key role in facilitating training sessions, workshops, and learning events that are culturally safe, trauma-aware, and aligned with adult learning principles. This position will work closely with First Nations stakeholders, internal teams, and external providers to deliver training that reflects lived experience and community perspectives, while contributing to the agency's broader workforce development priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and blended learning experiences across multiple formats
- Ensure fidelity to training packages and cultural safety standards in delivery
- Co-facilitate training with First Nations stakeholders to reflect lived experience
- Gather and analyse participant feedback to inform continuous improvement
- Promote psychological safety and wellbeing through trauma-aware practices
- Provide coaching and support to other facilitators and staff involved in training delivery
- Collaborate with HR, L&D, and operational teams to align training with workforce needs and priorities
- Represent the team in relevant forums and working groups to support cultural safety and workforce development initiatives
- Contribute to reporting on training delivery outcomes and lessons learned
- Other duties as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- Australian citizenship is required to be considered
- Demonstrated experience in training facilitation and adult learning
- Strong understanding of cultural safety and First Nations perspectives
- Ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt facilitation style to different contexts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities
- Relevant qualifications in education, training, HR, or related field (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment highly desirable)
- Experience working in or with First Nations communities is highly regarded
