A Queensland state government department is seeking a Social Outcomes and Local Benefits Coordinator (AO7) to support a major infrastructure program, driving the delivery of employment, training, and procurement initiatives that benefit local communities.

- Type: Temporary Casual Labour Hire, Full-Time hours
- Location: Brisbane CBD initially, transition to Beenleigh
- Rate: $86.18 p/h + Superannuation
About the Role:
Reporting to the Social Benefits Lead, the Social Outcomes and Local Benefits Coordinator will deliver a range of initiatives across employment, training, and local procurement as part of a major infrastructure project. The role involves coordinating industry working groups, engaging with subcontractors, maintaining partnerships with social outcomes organisations, supporting procurement processes, and delivering community facing events. This position suits a proactive professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and is committed to achieving outcomes that create lasting benefits for local communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver programs, workshops, and community engagement initiatives.
- Facilitate industry working groups and support their objectives in line with agreed terms of reference.
- Monitor and support subcontractors in delivering social outcomes and local benefits requirements.
- Assist with identifying local procurement opportunities, tender invitations, and evaluation processes.
- Maintain partnerships with social outcomes organisations to deliver employment, training, and capability building pathways.
- Collect and manage project data and produce regular reporting for government and project stakeholders.
- Represent the department at workshops, meetings, and community engagement events.
- Contribute to a collaborative, solution focused team culture in a dynamic delivery environment.
- Undertake other duties as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Degree in business, social science, communications, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of Queensland Procurement Policy, Local Content Charter, Building and Construction Training Policy, and Indigenous Procurement Policy.
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, particularly with diverse and disadvantaged communities.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver projects or events on time and on budget.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including reporting and record keeping.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and online performance monitoring platforms.
- Experience in high-performing teams delivering major infrastructure projects.
- C-class drivers licence
Desirable Requirements:
- Previous experience in social procurement, economic development, or local benefits coordination.
- Experience working in government or in large-scale transport or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of workforce development programs and community engagement frameworks.
