Lead Construction Projects - Support Public Infrastructure Delivery in a State Government Agency
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Supervisor (OO7 level) to assist with the delivery of commercial and residential construction projects within a dynamic State Government agency. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure outcomes while ensuring high standards of workplace health and safety.

- Rate: OO7 Equivalent + Superannuation
About the Role
In this supervisory role, you will support the Construction Manager in delivering high-quality building projects, leveraging your construction trade background and strong organisational skills. This position involves on-site leadership, project estimation, contractor coordination, and safety compliance to ensure successful and safe project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and delivery of residential and commercial construction projects
- Supervise and develop field staff, subcontractors, and office personnel
- Produce tender/quotation documentation, estimates, and material lists
- Coordinate inspections of building elements and manage asbestos sample collection where needed
- Conduct on-site WHS inspections and facilitate WHS audits
- Ensure compliance with safety management systems and maintain a healthy work environment
- Contribute to accurate cost estimation and scheduling using Microsoft Project or similar tools
- Other duties as required
About You - Key Skills & Capabilities
- Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities on active worksites
- Excellent knowledge of WHS legislation and practices
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Confident communicator, able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Skilled in estimation, project planning, and reporting
Mandatory & Desirable Requirements
- Construction industry trade background (mandatory)
- Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card (mandatory)
- Experience using Microsoft Project or similar software (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of human resource principles and workplace equity standards (highly desirable)
