About the Role:
Reporting to the APS6 Team Leader, the Budget Management Support Planner is responsible for supporting participants to manage their plans within budget. The role involves analysing records, undertaking moderately complex case management, and working with participants and their representatives to identify circumstances and spending patterns. This position contributes to achieving performance targets and supports efficient, compliant service delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse participant records in line with policy, guidelines, and legislation to make funding decisions and reduce overspending
- Engage with participants and representatives via phone to gather information and assess needs
- Maintain accurate records and data in line with process guidelines and standard operating procedures
- Undertake research and review decisions in moderately complex cases with guidance from senior staff
- Complete administrative and data entry tasks related to participant plans
- Contribute to achieving key performance indicators, including planning targets
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver consistent service outcomes
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policy, and operational standards
- Other duties as required
Mandatory Requirements:
- Proven experience in administrative support, case management, or similar operational roles
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret policy and guidelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new IT systems quickly
- High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working with Children Check and relevant worker screening clearances (or willingness to obtain)
