We're seeking a skilled Senior Intranet Officer to join a high-impact internal communications team within a federal government agency. About the Role
As the Senior Intranet Officer, you'll lead the development and optimisation of intranet content that informs and engages staff across the organisation. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure content is accessible, aligned with strategic goals, and delivered in plain English.
This role offers a mix of strategic planning, hands-on publishing, and stakeholder engagement, with opportunities to contribute to intranet redevelopment and content migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business areas to identify content needs and develop engaging intranet material.
- Ensure content meets accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), style guides, and plain English principles.
- Analyse intranet performance and recommend improvements.
- Support content migration from legacy platforms to a new intranet environment.
- Provide technical support and publishing assistance using SharePoint.
- Lead and mentor team members on content and administrative tasks.
