About the Role:
This APS6 Project Officer position is ideal for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong project management skills and a passion for delivering strategic outcomes. You'll lead and support projects that enhance performance, quality, and sustainability across service delivery functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support strategic planning and project management activities.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and reporting.
- Provide expert advice and procedural guidance.
- Conduct research and prepare reports on project activities.
- Draft business cases, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.
- Monitor budgets and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and benefits.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client needs.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of agile project management.
- Advanced communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in government administration and project delivery (desirable).
- Qualifications in project management, government, or social services (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Planner).
Working Environment:
- Open office and hot desk environment.
- Occasional work-from-home flexibility.
- Screen-based work and telephone use.
