Role Details
* Role Type: Temporary - Full-time hours
* Rate: AO5 Equivalent + Superannuation
* Location: North Coast Region - State Government Agency
* Positions: 2 x AO5 Communications Advisor (1 x Planning, 1 x Delivery)
About the Role
Our client, a well-respected State Government Agency is seeking two experienced Communications Advisors to join its Stakeholder Management team-one supporting the Planning team, and one embedded with the Delivery team.
These roles will lead the development and implementation of communication and engagement strategies to support infrastructure projects. You will provide high-level advice to senior leaders and project teams across stakeholder management, community engagement, issues, and media.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic communication advice and risk assessments for transport projects
- Lead stakeholder and community engagement planning and activities
- Coordinate media responses and manage emerging issues effectively
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, contractors, community groups and internal teams
- Deliver communication materials, events, and campaigns to support project objectives
- Ensure all communications adhere to governance frameworks and regulatory requirements
Key Skills & Attributes
- Proven ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships
- Strong adaptability in dynamic and evolving project environments
- Experience in communications or engagement roles on infrastructure projects, ideally in transport or engineering sectors
- Demonstrated capabilities in media, public relations, and strategic engagement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
- Qualifications in communications, journalism, marketing or public relations
- IAP2 certification or willingness to obtain independently
