Estimator (AO6 Equivalent)

We're seeking an experienced Estimator to join the team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality building, construction, and maintenance projects. This role requires a strong background in estimating, a commitment to best practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, suppliers, and contractors.

- Located in Parramatta Park, FNQ, QLD
- AO6 equivalent $61 + p/h + super
- Starting ASAP, pending interview and security clearances.
About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Produce high-quality tender and quotation documentation in line with industry best practices, departmental standards, and client requirements.
- Utilise estimating software (CostX preferred) to deliver consistent and accurate client quotations.
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations, and project trade packages, including materials lists and construction programs.
- Support research and development in estimating, costing, contract administration, and cost management practices.
- Build effective relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to optimise service delivery and achieve cost efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, including preparing risk assessments and safe work method statements.
- Other duties as required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Construction trade background.
- Strong computer skills, with CostX experience.
- Proven ability to interpret, plan, and prepare accurate building estimates in line with best estimating practices.
- Sound knowledge of contemporary estimating methods within the building, construction, and maintenance industry, including legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Organised, proactive, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
