A local city council is seeking an Administration Officer (Level 2) to provide reliable administrative support across business functions, ensuring accurate service delivery and positive outcomes for both internal and external stakeholders.
Role Details:

- Type: Temporary Casual Labour Hire, Full-Time hours
- Location: Caloundra, Sunshine Coast
- Rate: $38.05 p/h + Superannuation
About the Role:
Reporting to the relevant team leader, the Administration Officer will deliver a range of administrative services, including customer service, record management, correspondence, and information system support. The role involves providing timely and accurate advice, assisting with projects and workflow, and serving as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries. This position suits a proactive professional who thrives in a busy environment and is committed to delivering high-quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional administration services including customer contact, record management, and use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Process routine records, property information, and correspondence accurately and in a timely manner.
- Input, search, and retrieve information using corporate applications and systems.
- Assist with monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing systems and procedures to improve business efficiency.
- Support team outputs by sharing skills and assisting colleagues.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external enquiries.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure quality service delivery.
- Undertake other duties as required.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Certificate III in Business Administration, Local Government, or equivalent experience.
- Experience providing administrative support in a customer-focused environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and deliver results with limited supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office equipment.
- Proven ability to work as a positive team member in a flexible and customer-focused environment.
- C-class driver's licence.
- Full Australian working rights.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience assisting with staff supervision or training.
- Knowledge of property and land information processes.
