APS 6 Economist

Are you passionate about applying economic thinking to real-world challenges? Join a dynamic team working to improve outcomes in human services markets through evidence-based policy and pricing reform.

As an APS6 Economist, you'll contribute to economic research and analysis that supports decision-making in a complex and evolving sector. You'll work with large datasets, apply modelling techniques, and help design pilot studies to address market failures and information gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct economic analysis to support pricing and market policy
• Apply statistical and modelling tools to large datasets
• Collaborate across teams and with external experts
• Translate complex data into actionable insights
• Contribute to pilot studies and policy development

About You:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Emerging technical skills in data analysis
• Interest in the care economy and human services markets
• Degree in economics, econometrics, or similar
• Experience with R, Python, Stata, or SAS is desirable
