We're looking for a Venue Support Officer to join our Community Wellbeing team, supporting the day-to-day operations of our community and sports centres.
About the role
As a Venue Support Officer, you'll be the friendly face that greets visitors, helps coordinate bookings and events, and ensures our facilities are safe, clean, and ready to use. No two days will look the same - you might be:
Assisting community members with enquiries, payments and bookings.
Setting up courts, meeting rooms or function spaces for programs and events.
Supporting local sport and recreation activities.
Hosting or assisting with community functions.
Helping to keep the centres running smoothly, including occasional canteen support.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be moving equipment, supporting events, and working across a 7-day roster that may include opening and closing duties.
About you
We're looking for someone who:
Brings excellent customer service skills and enjoys engaging with people.
Is adaptable, proactive and happy to roll up their sleeves.
Can work well in a team and communicate clearly.
Has experience in customer service (cash handling or recreation centre experience a bonus).
Holds, or is willing to obtain, a Senior First Aid certificate and Working with Children Check.
