School Crossing Supervisor

We are currently looking for multiple School Crossing Supervisors across Canberra, for Term 4 2025.

As a School Crossing Supervisor your key role will be to help children, parents, and community members safely across the road, teach them how to use a crossing safely and provide a courteous service to pedestrians. Hours of work will be rostered at the start or end of school days.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting children, families, and pedestrians to safely cross at children's crossings and traffic lights
• Reporting all incidents, accidents, near misses and potential risks
• Maintaining a high level of awareness and professionalism
• Fostering positive interactions with the school community

The role of School Crossing Supervisor is held in very high esteem in our communities. Successful candidates will have:

• Experience in customer service or working directly with children
• Currently hold a Working with Vulnerable People's Check
• Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle (ideal, but not essential)
• Availability Monday to Friday, from 7.30am to 9.00am and 3.00pm to 4.00pm
• Willingness to commute around Canberra as needed

Working Hours:
This role requires availability during school drop-off (7:30 AM - 9:00 AM) and pick-up times (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM) on school days.

• Term 4 Start: 13th October
