Senior Allied Health Advisor (APS 6 Equivalent)

• Role title - Technical Advisory
• Location: Brisbane CBD
• Employment Type: Casual labor hire assignment, based on 37.5 hours per week.
• Rate: APS 6 Equivalent. $60.26 p/h + super

About the Role
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Providing subject matter expertise through a coaching and mentoring approach, advising on appropriate supports to meet individual needs and outcomes
• Managing complex and sensitive conversations relating to support planning and funding approval
• Liaising with stakeholders, delegates, providers, and partners to ensure consistency in decision-making and the achievement of high-quality outcomes
• Contributing to strategic planning, policy development, and program management
• Delivering high-quality written and telephone-based clinical and technical advice, including accurate record keeping
• Supporting internal staff and partners to build capability in applying frameworks, guidelines, and clinical reasoning for complex decision-making
• Other duties as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Must be an Australian Citzen.

Recognised qualifications (degree, advanced diploma, or diploma) in one or more of the following disciplines:

• Occupational Therapy
• Prosthetics and Orthotics
• Speech Pathology
• Physiotherapy
• Psychology
• Registered Nursing (must be AHPRA eligible)
• Social Work
• Mental Health Practice
• Behavioural Support Practice
• Medico-Legal Allied Health

Desirable:

• Experience in disability, hospital, or aged care settings
• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
• High-level communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven clinical experience working with complex or novel cases
