Are you an experienced, people-first HR professional who thrives on building trust, solving problems, and making a difference every day?
Our globally renowned client is seeking a Hindi-speaking HR Generalist/Advisor to join their dynamic team based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. This is a newly created position, ideal for someone who brings energy, empathy, and strong HR knowledge to support operations across Australia and, to a lesser extent, India.
This is a hands-on, on-site role focused on employee engagement, HR operations, and creating a supportive, compliant, and culturally rich work environment. If you enjoy connecting with people, resolving workplace challenges, and being a trusted HR go-to - we want to hear from you.
Please note this is not a Business Partner or HR Manager role.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on workplace matters, HR policies, conflict resolution, and employment law
- Build strong, approachable relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Lead core HR operations for the Australian office, including:
- Employment contracts and documentation
- Compliance with policies and local labour laws
- Managing employee benefits and external vendors
- Supporting performance and absence management
- Ensure HR documentation and processes are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant
- Collaborate on regional and global HR projects as needed
What We're Looking For:
- 6-11 years' experience in an HR Generalist or Advisor role in Australia
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field
- Solid understanding of Australian employment laws and HR best practices
- Fluent in Hindi and English - able to communicate clearly and comfortably in both
- Warm, approachable, and culturally aware - someone people trust and feel comfortable speaking with
- Confident managing sensitive issues with professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Able to work on-site 4-5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
- Must have full working rights in Australia (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
- A genuine appreciation for Indian culture - whether it's the music, food, language, or community!
- Travel opportunity to India
