Business Support Officer

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative and customer service support within the Community and Environmental Services division.
- Located - Caboolture, QLD
- $38 + p/h + superannuation
- Temporary, casual labor on hire assignment
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative local government team delivering essential services to the community. You'll play a key role in supporting daily operations, coordinating a range of administrative tasks, and managing customer requests across the department.
Every day will bring variety from triaging customer requests in TechOne, to preparing documents, managing permits and licences, and supporting the operational needs of your team.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Action and triage customer requests, Councillor and Mayoral enquiries.
- Deliver administrative and customer support across departmental functions.
- Process permits, licences, and registrations accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare materials such as presentations, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Support day-to-day financial and purchasing activities, including stock control.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to support positive outcomes.
About You
You're a flexible and motivated administrator who thrives in a busy environment. You take initiative, communicate clearly, and enjoy supporting both your team and the community. You're confident in using systems such as TechnologyOne and the Microsoft Office suite and can adapt quickly to new processes.
You'll also bring:

Qualifications & Requirements
- Certificate II in Business Administration (or higher) or equivalent experience.
- Current Class C driver's licence.
- Experience with TechOne preferred.
